As a participant, you will: \- Review and analyze case materials, including legal documents, evidence, and witness statements \- Engage in group discussions and deliberations to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each side's arguments \- Provide feedback and insights on the credibility of witnesses, the persuasiveness of arguments, and the overall effectiveness of the case presentation \- Follow instructions provided by the moderator or facilitator throughout the mock trial process \`\`\`Requirements:\`\`\` \- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills \- Excellent communication and listening skills \- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual setting \- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately \- Availability to participate in mock jury sessions during specified time frames \- No previous legal experience required Please note that this is a *work\-from\-home gig.* * All mock jury sessions will be conducted remotely via Zoom, **participants must be familiar with the Zoom application** as well as have a **laptop or tablet WITH a camera \& microphone** (no phones allowed) * Participants must be **fluent in English** * Participants must have a quiet and private location for sessions, with **no distractions** * Unengaged and distracted participants are subject to void of pay Focus groups are typically 4 \- 7 Hours, and shorter sessions will result in a minimum of $16/hour GT Research will reach out to you 1 \- 2 weeks in advanced when organizing focus groups Providing all demographic information upon sign up greatly increases your odds of being selected.
