Role SummaryThe Director, Compensation & Benefits – Americas is a key leader within NIQ’s global Compensation & Benefits (C&B) function, responsible for leading strategy, design, and execution of C&B initiatives across the Americas region.This role partners closely with HRBPs, regional leadership, and global teams to ensure competitive, compliant, and scalable rewards programs that support business objectives. In addition to regional leadership, this role also leads global initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert across complex compensation topics, including executive and sales compensation within a publicly traded company environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam LeadershipLead, develop, and coach the regional Compensation & Benefits teamOversee team deliverables, performance management, and goal setting processesStrategy, Plan Design & AdministrationDesign, benchmark, and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs across the AmericasPartner with SVP, Compensation & Benefits on regional strategy and annual plan renewalsEnsure programs align with both global standards and local market requirementsCompensation ProgramsLead regional execution of corporate compensation programsOversee job leveling recommendations aligned to global job architectureGuide compensation adjustments based on benchmarking and market trendsSupport annual salary reviews and incentive plan cyclesData Analysis & InsightsTranslate compensation and benefits data into actionable insightsIdentify root causes, trends, and systemic issues impacting business outcomesDeliver clear recommendations backed by data and market intelligenceProcess Improvement & StandardizationPartner with global C&B teams to balance global consistency with local customizationIdentify opportunities for automation and process efficiencyDrive continuous improvement initiativesProject LeadershipOwn end-to-end delivery of global C&B projectsDefine scope, manage timelines, align stakeholders, and drive executionProactively identify risks and dependenciesSpecial ProjectsLead key initiatives such as sales incentive plans and executive compensation programsServe as a strategic partner to commercial leadership and senior stakeholdersStakeholder Collaboration & CommunicationPartner with HR, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and regional leadership teamsDevelop and deliver clear, compelling presentations tailored to regional audiencesSupport change management efforts for C&B initiativesVendor Management & ComplianceManage external vendors, consultants, and benefit providersEnsure compliance with regional and country-specific regulations across the AmericasOversee required reporting and governance practicesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of experience leading compensation and benefits programs in a global corporate environmentExperience working within publicly traded companies3+ years of leadership experience managing teams and partnering with senior business leadersStrong understanding of international and regional labor laws across the AmericasAdvanced Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency strongly preferredExperience with HR systems, preferably WorkdaySkills & CompetenciesStrong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic insightsProven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholdersProactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environmentStrong focus on improving employee and business experience through C&B programsPreferred ExperienceExperience with executive and sales compensation design and administrationStrong background managing complex, multi-country compensation strategiesExperience driving transformation and scaling global programsAdditional InformationThis role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $132,000.00 - $200,000.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
