About the Role We are seeking a collaborative and growth-minded Supervising Psychiatrist to join our team in a part-time capacity (10 hours/week). At Two Chairs, we are building an integrated behavioral health model where therapists and psychiatric providers work hand-in-hand. This role is designed for a physician leader who wants to directly shape the growth and clinical excellence of a rising psychiatry program without the burden of a heavy caseload. In this role, your primary impact will be felt through the mentorship and supervision of our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), all of them licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. You will ensure excellent, ethical, and measurement-based care across the team by reviewing complex cases, assisting with clinical escalations, and serving as a clinical sounding board. What You'll Do Supervision & Mentorship Supervise and mentor 10-12 APPs (licensed PMHNPs), ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices. Review documentation and treatment plans for ~1hr/week to ensure quality and adherence to compliance standards. Guide APPs on compliant, clinically appropriate billing practices, while mentoring them on integrating brief psychotherapy into care in order to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Support APPs in managing clinical crises in line with guidelines and our Compliance team processes.  Build strong supervisory relationships through: Providing weekly supervision during a new APP’s onboarding period Tapering meeting frequency based on the needs of both the APP and yourself Clinical Care Provide second opinion consultations and treatment for higher complexity cases in collaboration with your APPs. Prescribe medications responsibly, ethically, and in alignment with measurement-based care. Conduct follow-up assessments, manage medications, and offer psychotherapy when clinically appropriate to optimize patient outcomes. Process Development Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve tools, workflows, and care models that elevate psychiatric care. Help define and implement treatment guidelines and protocols that exceed industry standards in collaboration with the Medical Director. Team Collaboration Work alongside therapists, care coordinators, and other clinicians in a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model. Contribute to case reviews, clinical discussions, and organizational planning. Partner with clinical leadership to refine operational workflows and clinical decision-making support systems. What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days Balance responsibilities with approximately 60% supervision, 25% direct clinical care, and 15% admin, with flexibility to increase clinical care while APP panels are being built. Begin supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers, offering real-time support and ongoing guidance. Deliver outstanding psychiatric care, including psychotherapy, when clinically indicated. Actively contribute to team meetings, case consultations, and the development of innovative care models. Provide input to shape and refine workflows, protocols, and best practices for psychiatric care delivery. We’re looking for someone who is: Board-certified psychiatrist (MD or DO) Meets one of the following criteria: Eligibility for, or currently participating in, the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) OR An active license in one or more of the following priority states: California New York (NY) Texas (TX) Washington (WA) Georgia (GA) North Carolina (NC) DMV Region (Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia) Proven experience supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, etc.)  Familiarity with state-specific collaborative practice agreements and supervision regulations across the priority states listed above.  Must hold an active, unrestricted federal DEA registration. Willingness and eligibility to obtain separate DEA registrations in all utilized states as required for multi-state practice. Preferred: additional state licensure or willingness to obtain additional state licenses Preferred: familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care delivery  Compensation & Benefits This is a part-time, non-exempt position
