Job Description
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and highly dependable Senior Church Bookkeeper QBO \+ Bill.com \+ Integrations Expert
**If a $47 transaction doesn't reconcile, does it bother you until you figure out why? If Bill.com throws a sync error, do you actually understand what it's trying to tell you? If missing receipts drive you slightly crazy... we should probably talk.**
We are a growing church looking for a **seriously organized, tech\-savvy Senior Bookkeeper** who can own the day\-to\-day financial details of a fairly complex organization.
This isn't a “log into QuickBooks once a week and categorize some transactions” bookkeeping gig.
We have multiple giving platforms, hundreds of vendors, payroll, bank feeds, credit cards, Bill.com workflows, integrations, CSV exports and imports, and a lot of transactions moving between systems.
We need someone who understands how all those pieces actually connect.
The Tech Stack You'll Live In
You need to be **very strong in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com**.
You should also be comfortable with Excel not just opening a spreadsheet, but actually working with data, cleaning it up, reconciling it, manipulating CSV files, using formulas, and getting information into a format that can be imported or reconciled properly.
Our giving and payment ecosystem includes platforms such as:
**Stripe** Square **PayPal** Pushpay **Bank Feeds** Bill.com **QuickBooks Online** ADP **Other Giving Platforms**
You'll regularly export transaction data from different platforms into CSV files, clean and organize the data in Excel, and reconcile it back to QuickBooks and our bank accounts.
You Need to Understand Integrations
This is important.
We don't just need someone who has *used* Bill.com and QuickBooks.
We need someone who understands what is happening **between the systems**.
For example:
Bill.com says a transaction isn't syncing.
Instead of staring at the error message and sending it to someone else, you start investigating.
Maybe QuickBooks shows a bill as paid, but it's an older bill that never originally synced into Bill.com. Bill.com can't match the transaction because the underlying bill doesn't exist there.
You understand that conceptually, troubleshoot it, and if necessary can get on with Bill.com support and actually speak their language.
That's the level we're looking for.
What You'll Own
You'll handle the daily bookkeeping and reconciliation across the organization, including **tithes, offerings, designated giving, donations, online giving, payroll, expenses, credit cards, bank accounts, and vendor payments.**
AP is a significant part of the job. We deal with approximately **100\-200 vendors per month**, so you need to be extremely comfortable with invoice processing, coding, approvals, payment workflows, W\-9s, vendor records, and keeping everything organized inside Bill.com and QBO.
You'll also work with ADP payroll transactions and make sure payroll properly reconciles back to the books.
