Staff Accountant

**Position Summary** A Staff Accountant at The Restaurant Assistants reports to a Senior Accountant or Controller and serves on the service team for a particular client(s). The Staff Accountant is involved in entering, organizing, and reporting financial data on a day to day basis. **Essential Responsibilities** *Staff Accountant responsibilities often include:* · Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries · Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts · Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts · Entering accurate financial data utilizing various financial software · Review financial data for accuracy. · Organize and update financial records. · Assist with payroll and accounts payable functions. · Create spreadsheet reports. · Complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting **Required Qualifications \& Skills** · Previous experience as an accountant or bookkeeper preferred. 1\-2 years’ experience preferred. · Strong time management and organizational skills · Proficient in accounting software, Excel, and other Microsoft Office software · Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. · Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with senior executives and client owners. · Tech\-savvy and adept at utilizing financial accounting software and Microsoft Office software. · Highly organized and detail oriented Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $55,000\.00 \- $65,000\.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance * Work from home Application Question(s): * Do you have experience in restaurant accounting? * Do you have any experience with Restaurant365?
