Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! -We are seeking a SOC Architecture Director/Manager to lead architecture development for communications hardware. The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in silicon architecture, networking protocols, and digital signal processing, thriving in a fast-paced environment where innovation meets mission-critical execution.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead the architecture and development of high-performance custom ASICs for networking applicationsDefine and document the SOC architecture and specifications for multiple chipsDrive high-level modeling and architecture exploration for critical networking componentsCollaborate with RFIC, System Architecture, and Software teams to ensure seamless integrationOversee and guide integration of multiple IP blocks in complex SOC environmentsDefine and maintain the interface specifications between hardware and firmware/softwareDevelop innovative solutions for digital signal processingCreate networking protocol implementations optimized for space-based applicationsBalance performance, power, and area requirements for space-qualified siliconLead a team of architects and senior design engineersEstablish best practices and design methodologies for the ASIC development teamSupport the translation of system requirements into hardware architectureMinimum Qualifications:B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field15+ years of experience in Silicon Architecture or Lead RTL Design rolesDemonstrated experience with SOC architecture and integrationExperience with high-performance networking hardware designBackground in digital signal processing implementationKnowledge of industry standard bus protocols and interfacesStrong technical leadership and team management skillsPreferred Qualifications:M.S. or Ph.D. in relevant engineering disciplineBackground in space-based or radiation-hardened electronicsKnowledge of 5G or advanced communications protocolsExperience with high-speed SerDes and network interfacesTrack record of successful tape-outs in leading-edge process nodesExperience mentoring junior architects and engineersUnderstanding of FPGA prototyping and emulationCompensation Range for:CA applicants is $197,004.00 - $275,805.60Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
