Job Description
As a member of the Project Services team and working closely with the Project Management Office, the Project Controller is involved from project award to completion, is a master in the art of ERP systems and cost control in a professional services environment.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day cost controls requirements for the assigned projects utilizing standard systems, against which trends, scope changes, commitments, payments, forecasts, and budget variances are monitored and reportedDevelop custom reporting tools for unique client requirementsDevelop and establish robust standards to implement across the company’s portfolio of projectsWork closely with the accounting department to ensure complete and accurate reporting of project costsWork closely with Project Managers to create and maintain project budgets and schedules including defined goals and objectivesActs as the ERP system subject matter expert (Ajera - Deltek)Support and train other stakeholders including Project Managers on the tips, tricks, and best practices of the ERPEnsure that logical structures are in place for each project to collect and report on project costs, schedule performance, project scope, and execution strategiesDegree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Accounting or FinanceProject Controls experience – minimum 5 yearsMembership in AACEI is an advantageTechnical expert in excel and SQL - xLookups, Pivot Tables, and database queriesPrevious experience with ERP systemsStrong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills.Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment is considered an assetFamiliarity with the different contracting strategies encountered on EPC and EPCM projects in North AmericaAdvanced knowledge of Earned Value Management and Risk Analyses TechniquesSound communication skills, fluency in English a must, French is considered an assetSacré-Davey offers a competitive compensation package, as well as a creative, cohesive work environment and continuous opportunity for development.
