Reporting to the Backend Lead, the successful candidates will collaborate with cross-functional teams— including frontend developers, product managers, and designers—to deliver high-quality software solutions. The technical environment utilizes a modern stack including Node.js (TypeScript), MongoDB, Redis, and ethers.js, supported by a GitOps CD chain involving Kubernetes and AWS.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Leadership: Lead and participate in the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs.Scalable Architecture: Architect and implement robust backend solutions capable of handling increasing user loads and evolving business requirements.Quality Standards: Maintain high coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure best practices for maintainability and readability.Performance Optimization: Identify system bottlenecks and optimize code and algorithms to improve overall performance.Proactive Monitoring: Implement monitoring and debugging tools to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring high system availability.Testing & Reliability: Develop comprehensive test suites—including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests—to ensure backend reliability.Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior developers to foster technical growth within the team.Documentation: Document code, APIs, and technical processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and streamline onboarding.Interview ProcessInitial Screening: Recruiter / HR CallHiring Manager Interview: Discussion with the Backend LeadTechnical Assessment: Take-Home TestTechnical Deep-Dive: Technical InterviewCultural Alignment: Group InterviewRequirementsLocation: Candidates must be located in the EMEA or APAC regions.Technical Expertise: Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js is required.Stellar Experience: Proven experience working with the Stellar network in production environments.Blockchain Background: Previous experience in the blockchain space with a technical understanding of the EVM ecosystem (or other blockchain environments). Familiarity with Stellar’s Soroban smart contracts is a significant plus.Seniority: Extensive professional experience in a similar role at a senior or lead level.Infrastructural Knowledge: Solid understanding of document databases (MongoDB), caching mechanisms (Redis), and system architecture design.Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
