Partners with product managers andothers on intake and demand planning.Engages all disciplines across the technologyteam to facilitate capacityplanning and alignment of capacity to demandthrough planning, prioritization,sequencing of work, and dependency mapping.Utilizes defined practices, tools,and deliverables to track and report onthe overall health and progress ofdelivery against portfolio plans and goals.Ownership for maturing multiple practices, deliverables and/or tools within theportfolio practice.Acts as a mentor and coach to portfolio managers.Portfolio Management: Initiate and lead the governanceand delivery of portfolio outcomeswithin a broad area of responsibility,using appropriate portfolio management methodologies to give assurance thatintended outcomes are identified and achievedLeadership and Direction: Identify and communicate the actionsneeded to implement the function's strategy and business plan within thebusiness area or department; explain the relationship to the broader organization'smission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these andto doing extraordinary things toachieve local business goals.Stakeholder Management: Develop and implement stakeholder engagementstrategies and plans across multiple portfolios and domains toidentify relevant stakeholders, tocreate mutually supportive working relationships,and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice acrossassigned portfolio(s).Enterprise Business Analysis: Interpret the business need andidentify solution recommendations tobusiness problems at a business unit level.Lead the improvement efforts that are within span of control at this level.Culture of Innovation: Define the execution plan todisseminate innovative capabilities across the businesses, helping people develop thesecompetencies and enabling them to innovate through solutions such as ideageneration platforms, jam sessions,and hackathonsTransformational Change Management: Manage substantial workstreams within a transformational change program, ensuring integration with relatedprojects; use structured change management methodologies to build acceptance ofchange and to embed desired cultureand behaviors.Portfolio Risk and Issue Management: Ensure that risks, issues, dependencies,and constraints are managed appropriately at portfolio and domainlevels. Where risks or issues threatendelivery of the portfolio, develop and agree recovery plans.Ongoing Learning and Development: Develop own and more junior team membercapabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activitiesas well as formal and informaltraining and coaching; gain or maintainexternal professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfillpersonal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology,external regulation, and industrybest practices through ongoing education,attending conferences, and reading specialist media.Program/Portfolio Planning: Lead the production and approval andmanagement of program and/or portfolio plans to ensure integration ofactivities across portfolios and domains, appropriately organized to deliver on definedobjectives, comply with the organization's approved methodologies, frameworks,and standards and compliance with the organization'swider governance structure and processes.Reporting and Review: Specify and lead the delivery ofthe portfolio review processes toensure that stakeholders are able to evaluate progressand agree on change at appropriate points.Continuous Improvement: Review existing operations in a majorarea of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensurethe required continuous improvement outcomes are delivered. Mentors junior team members.Program Assurance: Lead the design and delivery of portfoliolevel assurance reviews, enable the delivery of assurance reviews by independentthird parties, and ensure that appropriate actions are taken toresolve any issues identified to givesenior stakeholders confidence that theprogram can deliver to time, budget,and qualityResource Management: Negotiate and manage deployment ofprogram/portfolio resources and budgets, providing forecasts and presenting varianceswith narrative at appropriate review points to ensure effective utilization across multipleportfolios and/or domains.Benefit Realization: Lead the development and implementationof a long
