Full Charge Bookkeeper

Mermaid Hospitality is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day\-to\-day books for our New York City restaurant group. This is an in\-person position, not a remote role. Salary: $90,000–$100,000\. This is a hands\-on role for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fully digital environment. What you’ll do Maintain books for multiple restaurant entities in QuickBooks Online Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts Manage accounts payable, bill payments, and vendor records Review sales, deposits, payroll entries, and intercompany transactions Prepare monthly financials and work with our outside accountants on close and reporting Help improve the speed and accuracy of daily and weekly financial reporting What we’re looking for Strong full charge bookkeeping experience; multi\-entity or restaurant experience is preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required Fluency with online documents, digital approvals, and connected accounting tools Familiarity with AI tools and the judgment to use them productively while checking their work Strong follow\-through, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate discrepancies Mermaid is moving its financial processes online. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building reliable systems as well as keeping the books current.
