Location: United States (Remote)About the CompanySilicon is a U.S.-based sourcing company that helps large U.S. advanced manufacturers access rare earths, specialty metals, and advanced materials that are difficult to obtain through traditional supply chains.These materials are used in: Defense systems Aerospace platforms Photonics and optics Semiconductor manufacturing Advanced energy and industrial technologiesWe work directly with clients to understand their requirements, then coordinate sourcing, logistics, and delivery through our global network of suppliers.Our mission is to help companies secure the materials they need to operate in an increasingly constrained global supply environment.Role OverviewWe are hiring a Client Partner – Defense & Aerospace to manage relationships with U.S. defense and aerospace clients and own the process of securing and delivering materials they require.This is not a high-volume sales role. It is a senior, hands-on role focused on: understanding complex client requirements coordinating sourcing solutions managing delivery and execution building long-term client relationshipsThe individual will manage the process from initial requirement through to successful delivery. Core ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship Management Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at defense contractors and advanced manufacturers Understand and document technical material requirements Act as the primary point of contact for client engagementsCommercial OwnershipReceive and manage client ordersDevelop opportunities that lead to repeat businessMaintain an active pipeline of customer requirementsTechnical Coordination Work with Silicon's sourcing team to locate suppliers Confirm specifications and compliance requirements Coordinate logistics and deliveryExecution & Problem SolvingManage supply challenges and delivery issuesEnsure successful order completion Maintain accountability from order through deliveryIdeal Candidate Profile We are seeking candidates with experience working with defense, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing organizations in supply chain strategy or consulting with strong BD and problem solving skills, who are comfortable operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial company.Relevant backgrounds may include: Management or supply chain consulting Defense contractor sales or program management Aerospace supply chain or procurement Specialty metals or materials trading Government defense ecosystemKey attributes: Commercial mindset Strong relationship builder Problem solving mentality Highly organized Comfortable operating independentlyCulture Silicon operates very differently from large corporations.We are a small, entrepreneurial company focused on solving difficult problems for importantindustries.The culture is defined by:Ownership - Each team member owns their work end-to-end.
