Our teams consist of dedicated and empathetic professionals with a diverse set of perspectives, experiences, and collaboration to maximize our collective impact.The OpportunityApollo has clinical hours available for a psychiatrist to primarily support our veteran patients from the Canadian Armed Forces, providing consultations through our virtual platform on medical cannabis treatment.The candidate can be licensed in any province.We offer:TrainingAdministrative supportFlexible days and hoursAn extensive multidisciplinary teamResponsibilitiesProvide consultations for veteran patients, using specialist expertise to review medical cannabis treatment plans prescribed by healthcare practitioners, determine if they are reasonable and necessary, and complete and submit relevant documentation.Provide psychological case management input and recommendations to the interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, psycho-social barriers, and conflict management.ExperienceMedical degree and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of your provinceExcellent communication skills, written and verbal in EnglishDemonstrated ability to work independently and to manage a busy workloadTeam-oriented approach with existing support team membersHighly organized with strong time management skillsInformed and abreast of relevant scientific researchPrevious work with veterans and/or medical cannabis is an assetBilingualism is an assetOther DetailsThis is a part-time position based remotely in Canada.Originally posted on Himalayas
