Business Development Manager – Recycled PlasticsRemote Position – United StatesAbout the BusinessOperating across 3 continents and trading in more than 20 countries, our client is a global leader in recyclable plastics trading and processing. Since establishing our recycling facility in the United Kingdom in 2017, this business has specialised in the collection, processing, and recycling of plastic waste generated by manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing industries worldwide.As part of international expansion, we are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to develop and grow their presence across the United States and LATAM markets.Ideal ProfileA proactive communicator who enjoys building relationships and closing deals.Results-driven with a strong interest in sales, commodities trading, and business development.Confident making outbound calls, negotiating with customers, and identifying opportunities.Commercially minded, analytical, and quick-thinking.Naturally curious with a passion for researching new markets, customers, and industry trends.A collaborative team player who works effectively across international teams.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global trading environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Research & Business DevelopmentIdentify and develop new business opportunities across the US and LATAM recyclable plastics markets through research, networking, and outbound outreach.Sales Support & Trading OperationsPrepare and distribute material offers to customers globally while supporting trading activities and sales strategy execution.Customer Relationship ManagementManage inbound inquiries, conduct cold outreach, negotiate pricing, and build long-term relationships with suppliers and buyers.CRM & Market IntelligenceMaintain accurate CRM records, monitor market trends, track customer activity, and analyse sales performance data.Negotiation & Deal ExecutionSupport the full trading cycle from prospecting through negotiation and deal closure while learning the dynamics of global plastics commodities markets.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with commercial leadership, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions and customer satisfaction.QualificationsExperience in sales, business development, trading, or customer-facing roles (B2B experience preferred).Hunter mentality with confidence in outbound calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn prospecting.Strong commercial awareness and interest in recycling, sustainability, commodities, or circular economy industries.Ability to analyse market data, identify trends, and think strategically.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse international markets.Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus for LATAM market development.Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.For more information contact:Jenny Böhnlein
