Job Description

**About Rebel Tails** Rebel Tails is a growing independent dog grooming company based in Morrisville, North Carolina. We’ve built our business around a different approach to grooming: cage\-free, transparent, focused on the dog’s experience, and built around long\-term relationships with our clients. Now we’re preparing for the next stage. Our goal is to open **5 new locations over the next two years**, and we’re looking for a Marketing Director who can help us build the marketing engine behind that growth. This is not a corporate marketing role where you inherit a large department, established processes, and a seven\-figure marketing budget. You’ll be joining an entrepreneurial company where the business already works, the brand has a strong local customer base, and the next challenge is figuring out how to **systematically reproduce that success in new markets.** **Why We Specifically Want Grooming Industry Experience** We are looking for someone who already understands the grooming business. You understand that filling a grooming salon isn't simply about generating leads. You understand: * how grooming customers choose and trust a salon; * the importance of reviews, referrals, social media, and local reputation; * the difference between acquiring a customer and building a recurring grooming client; * rebooking cycles and client retention; * seasonality and grooming demand; * how groomer capacity affects marketing; * why marketing an established salon and launching a new location are two very different challenges. We don't want to spend six months teaching our Marketing Director how the grooming industry works. We want someone who can bring that knowledge **to the table from Day One.** **Your Mission** Your primary responsibility will be simple to describe but challenging to execute: **Build a repeatable marketing system that can successfully launch and grow Rebel Tails locations.** Today, we are a local grooming salon. Over the next two years, we plan to become a multi\-location grooming company. We need to understand exactly what combination of local marketing, digital advertising, referrals, partnerships, content, promotions, reputation, and community presence can take a new location from opening day to a strong recurring client base. Then we need to be able to repeat it. **What You'll Own** You will take ownership of the marketing function rather than simply managing individual campaigns. That includes: * Developing the overall marketing strategy for Rebel Tails as we expand from one location to multiple locations. * Creating a repeatable **new\-location launch playbook** for each market we enter. * Building customer acquisition strategies for new salons before and after opening. * Managing local digital acquisition across Google, Meta, Maps, local search, and other relevant channels. * Improving local SEO and Google Business Profile performance for each location. * Building systems around reviews, referrals, reactiv
