Load Planning Assistant

**About The Job** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and organized Load Planning Assistant to support our transportation and logistics operations. In this entry\-level role, you will help coordinate freight movements, optimize shipment schedules, monitor deliveries, and communicate with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient transportation. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist with planning and scheduling daily freight shipments. * Coordinate load assignments with carriers and transportation partners. * Track shipments and provide status updates to customers and internal teams. * Maintain accurate shipment records within the Transportation Management System (TMS). * Communicate with drivers, warehouses, dispatchers, and customers regarding shipment schedules. * Resolve transportation issues and escalate concerns when necessary. * Prepare shipping documentation and reports. * Monitor on\-time delivery performance and assist with continuous process improvements. * Perform general administrative and data entry tasks. **Qualifications** * High school diploma or GED required. * 0–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, or administrative support. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). * Ability to multitask in a fast\-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail and problem\-solving abilities.
