Travel may be required.** The Washington State Department of Corrections Information Technology (IT) team has the perfect opportunity for a dynamic and skilled professional to fill the role of **IT Project Management Senior Specialist!**. The goal of this role is to perform full\-scope project management for a variety of high\-visibility, high risk, and high impact IT projects. In this role, you will provide technical and organizational leadership in the area of project management in addition to leading strategic initiatives to integrate new technologies with existing enterprise technologies. You will direct complex, multi\-agency infrastructure and system implementation projects. In addition, you will provide leadership, coaching/mentoring and expert project planning for major DOC mission critical infrastructure and computing systems implementation and upgrades. Daily actions of the IT Project Management Senior Specialist include directing, planning, controlling, coordinating, and managing all aspects of various complex projects including scope, schedule, resources (staff and budget), requirements, issues, risks, communication, and change. This position requires significant interaction with IT and agency executives due to the nature of projects managed. You will be responsible for the delivery of assigned projects within defined project scope, schedule, and budget. IT Project Management Senior Specialist plays a critical role in improving public safety by managing high visibility, risk and impact mission critical information technology projects that deliver robust, strategic technology solutions, and support mechanisms to 9,000 correctional workers across the agency.
