It’s an exciting time to become a key member of our growing team.Cayuse is seeking a Solutions Consultant to serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert throughout the sales process. This role partners closely with Account Executives to understand customer business challenges, participate in discovery conversations, deliver tailored solution demonstrations, and help research organizations modernize their research administration, compliance, and animal research operations.The ideal candidate has experience working within higher education, academic medical centers, healthcare systems, research institutions, or research-focused software environments and can effectively connect customer challenges to business outcomes.This position is highly consultative and requires strong presentation skills, business process knowledge, and the ability to engage stakeholders ranging from operational users to executive leadership.ResponsibilitiesDiscovery & Solution DesignPartner with Account Executives to understand customer goals, workflows, challenges, and strategic initiativesLead and participate in discovery sessions to identify business requirements and opportunitiesTranslate customer requirements into tailored solution recommendationsDevelop solution strategies that align Cayuse capabilities with customer prioritiesProduct DemonstrationsDeliver compelling and tailored demonstrations of Cayuse products and solutions. Customize demo environments to reflect customer use cases and business processesPresent to diverse audiences including:Research AdministratorsCompliance OfficesSponsored Programs OfficesIRB, IACUC, IBC, and COI AdministratorsResearch LeadershipExecutive StakeholdersArticulate business value, operational efficiencies, compliance benefits, and ROISales PartnershipServe as the primary subject matter expert during the sales cycleParticipate in account planning activities including stakeholder mapping, competitive analysis, whitespace identification, and executive engagement strategies.Assist Account Executives in developing multi-threaded engagement plans within strategic accounts.Support strategic account planning and deal progressionAssist with responses to RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and technical evaluationsParticipate in competitive positioning and objection handlingSupport customer expansion, modernization, and retention initiativesProduct & Market ExpertiseMaintain expertise across the Cayuse Research SuiteStay current on research administration trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practicesProvide market feedback to Product Management and LeadershipContribute to sales enablement and knowledge-sharing initiativesIndustry Relationships & Network DevelopmentLeverage existing professional relationships within higher education, academic medical centers, healthcare systems, and research institutions to identify opportunities, facilitate introductions, and support business development efforts.Maintain and expand a network of research administration, compliance, sponsored programs, and research operations professionals.Participate in industry organizations, conferences, presentations, user groups, and networking events to build market awareness and strengthen customer relationships.Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers and decision-makers across the research administration ecosystem.Thought LeadershipDevelop reusable demonstration assets, discovery guides, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement content.Serve as a thought leader internally and externally through webinars, conference presentations, customer panels, and industry events.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:Research AdministrationSponsored Programs AdministrationIRB AdministrationIACUC AdministrationClinical Research AdministrationResearch CompliancePre-Sales / Solutions ConsultingResearch Administration SoftwareStrong presentation and communication skillsExperience conducting customer-facing meetings and demonstrationsAbility to understand and communicate complex business processesStrong organizational and proj
