Job Description
The Applications Programmer – EDI/Oracle is responsible for assisting with the development, deployment, maintenance, and customization of various Oracle Applications and EDI integrations including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Order Management, Work in Process, Inventory, Purchasing and FA. This position will interface with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and develop solutions, test and deploy. This position will also work with the business on any technical development requirements such as reports and forms.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProficiency in integrating Oracle e-business suite with EDI (IBM SI B2b) toolWorking knowledge of the 3PL EDI integration with Oracle (850/810/940/945)Analyze project requirements and determine technical approach and programming requiredSupport Oracle Applications Production environment (12i)Moderate to advanced proficiency in PL/SQL programming Demonstrate technical knowledge (RICE components) in EBS O2C and P2P cyclesTroubleshoot, refactor, and enhance code to meet evolving business requirementsSupport business needs for system processing and availabilityParticipate in 24/7 department on-call programSupport day-to-day issues around integration touchpointsCreate process flows, high-level functional and detailed technical design specifications from business requirementsKnowledge & SkillsDeep expertise in Sterling B2B Integrator Business Process Development (BPML), Mapping using Map Editor and Transformation ExtenderStrong understanding of EDI concepts and delivery mechanisms like AS2, VAN, SFTP, HTTPS, and other protocolsProficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for development and support of Oracle EBS applicationsStrong customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent collaboration skills and able to work in a team environmentAble to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to efficiently handle multiple priorities simultaneously Practical experience with Oracle EBS – finance and supply chain modules preferredMinimum Qualifications, Education & Experience Must be at least 18 years of ageBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Reports, Forms, Workflow Builder, Discoverer, PL/SQL, Shell Scripts and XML Publisher (GL/AP/AR/OM/INV/PO)5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator development and administration2+; years of experience with E-Commerce gateway/Oracle E-Business Suite (ERP)Hands-on experience with ANSI X12, CSV, XML, and EDIFACT standards related to 850/855/810/856R12 experience is requiredWork EnvironmentThis is largely a sedentary role.
