The candidate will provide analytical support and guidance for a government client. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing an external perspective on operations and necessary steps to maintain a successful project. They will use their professional experience to identify project needs and help the project to evolve as times and trends change. Business Analysts will coordinate with client and project leads and IT personnel to streamline processes and increase productivity. The Business Analyst will provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting system environment status. The place of performance for this contract is onsite in Suitland, MD. Responsibilities: * Extroverted, High\-energy, great communicator + The BA will need to communicate with client's leadership regarding requirements and be able to (along with the PM) act as a liaison between leadership and the team + The BA will need a basic understanding of defining business systems, creating outlines and workflow diagrams, and presenting plans for accomplishing tasks + High energy and enthusiasm will help the team to function as a more cohesive unit * Basic Understanding/Experience with Agile methodologies + Think of the three C’s - Collaboration – The BA should feel comfortable discussing project requirements with high\-level client's leadership and ensuring the team work together to complete tasks - Communication – The BA should be able to clearly communicate requirements with the team and make sure everyone understands the intent - Coordination – The BA (with the PM) needs to coordinate efforts and tap into the proper talent on the team to ensure the project/task is completed on time + Scrum Master training is a plus. Strategic planning, providing structure to the team, better integrating individual skills to projects and tasks, providing incremental feedback to promote progress, etc. * Basic Data Analytics + The client has a Business Intelligence site that tracks Help Desk statistics. The BA will be the first\-line supervisor for the Help Desk, take those statistics and convert them to useful information for reports to the field.
