**Duties**
* Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
* Conduct thorough tax research using current laws and regulations related to estate planning, securities law, LIHTC (Low\-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other specialized areas.
* Assist clients with tax planning strategies including estate planning, wills, trusts \& estate law to optimize their financial outcomes.
* Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to tax filings and financial statements.
* Collaborate with cross\-functional teams on mergers \& acquisitions, financial report writing, and regulatory reporting projects.
* Reconcile accounts such as accounts payable, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or similar tools.
* Analyze financial data to interpret financial statements accurately for clients’ decision\-making processes.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) requirements while maintaining high standards of accuracy in all work products.
**Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
* Proven experience in tax accounting or public accounting environments with a strong understanding of tax experience across various sectors including non\-profit accounting and private equity.
* Knowledge of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, asset management, budgeting, and asset reconciliation.
* Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; experience with financial software is highly desirable.
* Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and perform detailed account reconciliation.
* Experience working with GAAP standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
