Legal Assistant / Office Manager **Location:** Greensburg, PA and In\-office (this is not a remote position) **Job type:** Full\-time, 8\-hour shift, Monday–Friday **Pay:** $28–$32 per hour (equivalent to approximately $60,000/year at full time) About the role Our Greensburg law firm is looking for a sharp, organized, and dependable Legal Assistant / Office Manager to be an integral part of our front office and the right hand to one of our senior attorneys. This is a full\-time, in\-office position for someone who thrives on staying a step ahead, keeping calendars, correspondence, and casework running smoothly and organized. If you are detail\-oriented, a strong writer, comfortable on the phone, and genuinely enjoy using modern AI tools to work faster and smarter, we want to hear from you. What you'll do * Answer and direct incoming phone calls, serving as the first point of contact for clients. * Open, sort, and process incoming mail; calendaring deadlines and important dates, and routing correspondence to the appropriate attorney. * Provide dedicated support to our senior attorney, Jeff Leonard, including managing his email inbox, maintaining his calendar, and keeping him on top of his active cases and upcoming deadlines. * Assist in drafting legal documents, motions, orders, briefs, correspondence, and related filings, based on the attorney's direction. * Maintain organized case files and ensure documents are properly saved, named, and filed. * Keep the day\-to\-day of the office moving: scheduling, reminders, follow\-ups, and general administrative support. What we're looking for * Some prior legal experience (1–2 years in a law office is ideal), or strong administrative/office experience with a willingness to learn the legal side. * Excellent written communication and a sharp eye for detail; much of this role involves drafting and proofreading. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities without dropping anything. * A professional, friendly phone manner and comfort working directly with clients. * Reliability and discretion \- you'll handle confidential and time\-sensitive information daily. A big plus: comfort with AI tools A significant part of this role involves drafting and document work, and we lean on modern AI tools to do that work well. Candidates who are fluent and comfortable with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini will stand out strongly. If you already use these tools to draft, summarize, organize, and work more efficiently, be sure to tell us about it.
