*Own the books today, grow into Client CFO* **Why this role exists** We are a tax and accounting firm growing fast, and the accounting side of the house needs an owner. Right now the partners are pulled into production work that should not be theirs. This role takes the accounting line off their plate so they can lead the firm and serve clients at a higher level. This is a role designed with a ceiling, not a cap. You will own controller\-level work today and grow into Client CFO responsibilities as our advisory practice expands. Day one, the job is running clean books and a tight team. Over time, you lead more of the client\-facing strategic conversations\- performance reviews, planning, the guidance that helps an owner make a better decision. To be clear about what that means: owning a client book is the foundation this role is built on, not a phase you pass through. The advisory work grows on top of the books, it does not replace them. The right person wants both halves. If you only want to do controller work, this role will feel limiting in eighteen months. If you only want advisory work and have no patience for the books underneath, this role will feel frustrating in eighteen days. This is not a seat\-filler job. We hold this role to clear standards\- deadlines met, budgets held, quality you can stand behind\- and we measure against them. If you run a clean book, keep clients out of trouble, and grow the people under you, you will do well here.
