The focus is on building scalable, AI-native pipelines capable of delivering multimodal datasets—audio, image, video, and structured data—at global scale.The product is operational and validated. The current priority is scaling the infrastructure, improving AI-powered QA pipelines, and building reliable contributor and client-facing platforms. The team is fast-moving, product-driven, and values high ownership and technical excellence.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain FastAPI backend services powering the data collection and delivery pipelineBuild and iterate React interfaces for internal teams, contributors, and clientsArchitect AI-powered pipelines for quality assurance, classification, and dataset deliveryOwn end-to-end feature delivery: backend logic, database schema, frontend interface, deploymentEnsure reliability, performance, and observability of async data processing pipelinesCollaborate closely with ML engineers, DevOps, and the data team to integrate AI systems into productionSet standards and best practices for AI-augmented engineering workflowsContribute to internal tooling that accelerates team velocity and maintains production-grade qualityWhat You Bring3+ years of professional full stack engineering experience in production environmentsStrong Python skills and hands-on experience building production APIs with FastAPISolid React experience, shipping real products to real usersDeep command of SQL, including query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and connection poolingHands-on PostgreSQL experience at scaleExperience with background task processing systems (Celery, RQ, SQS, or equivalent)Familiarity with S3-compatible object storage, Docker, and REST API design principlesAI-native development workflow — you use AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) daily, know how to prompt, iterate, verify, and catch errorsExperience building AI-integrated systems, pipelines, and production features for model trainingOwnership mindset — you ship fast, iterate, and care about code qualityNice to HaveExperience scaling global data infrastructure or contributor networksExperience with multimodal datasets (audio, image, video)Prior early-stage / founding team experienceExposure to high-volume, performance-critical systemsExperience integrating AI pipelines into production workflowsWhy This Role Will Pivot Your CareerThis is a founding engineer role at the intersection of full stack engineering and AI infrastructure.
