Role SummaryThe Business Analyst is a senior, client-facing leader who discovers, shapes, and operationalizes AI-driven business solutions — with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and AI agents — and drives the disciplined execution of those engagements end to end. This role bridges business strategy, applied AI, and delivery rigor to help clients realize measurable value from Copilot and related Microsoft technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead business analysis engagements focused on Copilot and AI-enabled transformationFacilitate executive and stakeholder workshops to identify high-value AI and Copilot use casesTranslate business problems into Copilot, agent, and automation scenarios aligned to Microsoft platformsPartner closely with technical architects to shape Copilot, Copilot Studio, and agent solutionsDefine requirements, success metrics, and value cases for AI initiativesAdvise clients on AI readiness, governance considerations, and responsible adoptionOwn engagement execution in partnership with Project Managers — driving project plans, milestones, dependencies, and dashboards in SmartsheetTrack and surface risks, issues, and decisions; maintain RAID logs, status reports, and core engagement artifactsCoordinate executive and working sessions, including agendas, decisions, and action trackingSupport commercial activities including purchase orders, invoicing, time tracking (Autotask), and budget visibility in partnership with Project ManagersEnsure delivery governance and quality standards are consistently applied across engagementsMentor consultants on modern business analysis, AI discovery, and disciplined delivery practicesSupport pre-sales by articulating Copilot value, use cases, and business outcomesRequired Experience & Qualifications3+ years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or IT services, with demonstrated ownership of engagement executionDemonstrated experience discovering and delivering AI or Copilot-based solutionsStrong working knowledge of:Microsoft Copilot (M365 Copilot and/or role-based Copilots)Copilot StudioAI agents and orchestration conceptsProven ability to translate business processes into AI-augmented workflowsExperience working directly with senior business stakeholdersHands-on experience using Smartsheet for project planning, tracking, and reportingFamiliarity with time tracking and commercial tooling (Autotask or equivalent)Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies and lifecycle conceptsExcellent facilitation, storytelling, and documentation skillsStrong organizational discipline with attention to detail and follow-throughProficiency with Microsoft productivity and collaboration tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)Preferred QualificationsMicrosoft certifications related to Copilot, Power Platform, Modern Work, and AIExperience with change management and adoption for AI solutionsBackground in enterprise or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with Microsoft ecosystem engagements (M365, endpoint, security, modern workplace)Advanced Smartsheet experience, including dashboards, reporting, and template maintenanceExperience supporting invoicing, budget tracking, or commercial project governanceFormal project management training or certification (e.g., CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation)Experience working in a distributed or global delivery environmentWhat Success Looks LikeClients clearly understand where Copilot and AI create real business valueAI use cases are well-prioritized, outcome-driven, and feasibleCopilot initiatives move from concept to production with confidence and disciplined executionEngagements run on time, on scope, and on budget with clear visibility for clients and internal teamsTeams and clients view you as a trusted advisor on applied AI and engagement leadershipOriginally posted on Himalayas
