Supplies Sales Specialist - Retail AccountDescription -Job SummaryThe Supplies Sales Specialist – Retail Account supports the growth of HP’s Supplies business within the North America Retail market by applying developed subject matter expertise to drive revenue, support account strategies, and deliver customer-centric solutions. This role works closely with account managers and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, nurture the sales pipeline, and execute programs aligned with retailer needs. The specialist exercises independent judgment within established policies, handles issues of diverse complexity, and may lead project-based initiatives or provide direction to team activities to support business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesApply deep knowledge of HP’s Supplies portfolio to support retail account strategies, articulating product value propositions and competitive differentiators. Partner closely with account managers to identify growth opportunities, support pipeline development, and contribute to revenue and share objectives within assigned retail accounts. Establish and maintain professional, consultative relationships by developing a strong understanding of retailer business models, operational priorities, and category dynamics. Conduct needs assessments and translates retailer requirements into tailored solutions, programs, or recommendations aligned with HP’s retail and supply chain strategies. Support sales execution through proposal development, internal alignment, forecasting inputs, and contribution to deal discussions and renewals. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, category management, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive execution and customer satisfaction. Track and maintain accurate records of sales activities, programs, and communications in line with HP tools, processes, and compliance requirements. Monitor market trends, retailer activities, and competitive dynamics to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights. Support sales readiness by transferring knowledge, best practices, and tools to internal teams, helping reduce the learning curve and improve execution quality. Ensure adherence to HP’s ethical, legal, and compliance standards across all sales-related activities. Education & Experience RecommendedFour-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience or demonstrated competence. Typically, 4–7 years of relevant experience in sales, retail account support, consultative selling, category management, or a related commercial role. Experience working with large retail customers, consumer products, or ongoing replenishment-based businesses preferred.
