You'll shape the compute runtime story for Temporal, from self-managed Kubernetes deployments to fully serverless execution. This role directly impacts developer experience: how easy it is to get workflows running, version them safely, and scale them automatically.What You'll DoOwn the roadmap for worker deployment options, including self-hosted and serverless execution modelsLead worker versioning initiatives to enable safe, zero-downtime code deployments with excellent developer experienceEvolve the Temporal Worker Controller for Kubernetes to provide worker management capabilities to the Kubernetes ecosystemDefine the path for serverless worker execution, removing infrastructure management from the developer experience entirelyPartner with engineering to improve worker tuning, resource efficiency, and scaling behavior across diverse compute environmentsCollaborate with customers and community to understand worker deployment pain points and validate solution directionsWhat You BringStrong background in compute platforms: serverless (Lambda, Cloud Run, App Engine), container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS), or similar infrastructureExperience with Version Control, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment systemsExperience building developer-facing products where deployment simplicity and operational excellence are key differentiatorsFamiliarity with autoscaling systems, workload scheduling, and resource optimization at scaleUnderstanding of code versioning, deployment strategies, and the developer experience challenges of long-running stateful systemsProven ability to translate complex infrastructure capabilities into intuitive developer experiencesA pragmatic, customer-focused product management approach with strong technical communication skillsCompensationThe estimated pay range for this role is $180,000 - $230,000, depending on qualifications and location.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets.
