**Bookkeeper – Franchise\-Focused \| Remote** **KTA Financial Services** is a fintech\-powered bookkeeping and analytics firm *built for franchise owners*. We’re looking for a **tech\-savvy, detail\-driven Bookkeeper** who knows QuickBooks Online like the back of their hand — and who understands the unique needs of small businesses and franchise operations. If you thrive in systems, care deeply about accuracy, and enjoy bringing order to financial chaos, this role was built for you. **What You’ll Do** **Bookkeeping \& Reconciliation:** * Manage day\-to\-day bookkeeping using **QuickBooks Online** (primary), but also new internal platforms developed to meet and exceed client needs. * Maintain clean and accurate ledgers across multiple locations or entities — often for multi\-unit franchisees or service\-based operators. * Perform monthly **bank and credit card reconciliations**, verifying that all balances match and discrepancies are resolved promptly. * Post and review essential **journal entries** * Ensure all financial activity is properly categorized and aligned with KTA’s monthly delivery cadence and ProfitKeeper analytics benchmarks. * Prepare first\-pass financial reports (P\&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for review by internal CPAs or client success leads. **Client Onboarding \& Support:** * Collaborate with our onboarding team to set up new QBO files or clean up legacy ones — especially for franchise clients transitioning from generic systems or outdated bookkeeping. * Connect and maintain third\-party tech integrations (e.g., POS, payroll, bank feeds) using KTA’s mobile app and fintech tools. * Review and process historical transactions for new clients needing clean\-up as part of our “Fixer” services. **Ongoing Communication:** * Communicate with clients inside our mobile app — requesting documentation, clarifying payees/categories, or responding to bookkeeping questions with clarity and professionalism. * Escalate red flags or patterns that indicate missing data, owner confusion, or process issues. * Partner with CPAs and Client Success team to ensure each client is on track for timely monthly delivery. **Process \& Tech Improvement:** * Stay up to date on **QuickBooks Online**, and confidently use features like rules, automation, and project tracking. * Make proactive suggestions to streamline recurring workflows or improve accuracy using tech. **What You Bring** * **5\+ years of bookkeeping experience**, ideally with multiple small business or franchise clients * **Advanced experience in QuickBooks Online** (QBO Certified preferred) * Experience in a remote or hybrid environment where communication, organization, and self\-direction are key * Solid understanding of accounting principles — not just data entry, but the “why” behind the books * Strong attention to detail and pride in accuracy
