Truck Dispatcher

**Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast\-paced environment. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, utilizing transportation management systems, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. **Responsibilities** * Utilize transportation management systems to schedule and track shipments effectively. * Communicate with drivers and clients to provide updates on freight status and delivery schedules. * Coordinate with third\-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries. * Monitor GPS systems to track vehicle locations and adjust routes as necessary. * Manage phone systems to handle incoming inquiries and provide excellent customer service. * Maintain accurate records of shipments, including AS400 data entry for tracking purposes. * Collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve any logistical issues that may arise during transit. * Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards. **Qualifications** * Previous experience in logistics or transportation management is preferred. * Familiarity with transportation management systems and GPS technology is highly desirable. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective coordination. * Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously. * Proficient in using phone systems and computer software related to logistics operations. * Knowledge of supply chain processes and 3PL operations is a plus.
