Our research program on brain health in later life is seeking a clinical research coordinator to join our team to study risk and protective factors for cognitive impairment, such as Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. We conduct multiple studies aimed at identifying ways to lower the risk for cognitive impairment as individuals age. The role of Clinical Research Coordinators at Duke is highly regulated, embedded deeply in scientific method and documentation and requires exceptional attention to detail. If you enjoy balancing detailed coordination work with meaningful participant interaction and collaborative teamwork, this role offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on brain health and Alzheimer’s disease research at Duke.
**Minimum Requirements:**
* Completion of an Associate’s degree.
* Work requires a minimum of two years of relevant research experience. Completion of the DOCR North Carolina state approved Clinical Research Apprenticeship program may substitute for one year of required experience. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 2 years required experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Prior experience **working with older adults**.
* Experience **administering cognitive** tests to older adults.
* Experience with **human subjects research**, including informed consent, confidentiality, and adherence to IRB\-approved protocols.
* Strong **participant\-facing communication skills**, including interacting in\-person, via zoom, phone, and email with participants following standardized protocols.
**Other Requirements:**
* May require occasional evening and weekend work.
