Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst / Financial ModelerLocation: Remote – Latin America (Some overlap with US PST hours)Type of Contract: Full-Time - Independent Contractor (Long Term)Salary Range: Market RatesLanguage Requirements: Advanced English (written and verbal)We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst with deep expertise in financial modelling and corporate finance to join our growing team. You will play a key role in building, reviewing, and optimizing complex financial models for professional audiences across investment banking, private equity, and corporate finance. Your work will directly impact the quality, scalability, and global usability of high-end financial modelling solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and optimize fully integrated financial models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) across multiple finance domainsBuild advanced modelling components including revenue drivers, scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and capital structure modellingReview, stress-test, and enhance complex financial models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and robustnessDesign and solve real-world financial problem sets with strong technical and educational valueCollaborate with finance experts and developers to ensure model scalability, documentation, and integrityProvide ongoing support including QA, debugging, and continuous improvement of financial models and contentOwn modelling projects end-to-end, from initial concept to fully functional deliverablesMust-Have Qualifications2–8+ years of hands-on experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, valuation, FP&A, or similar technical finance rolesProven ability to build complete financial models from scratch, including three-statement models, DCF, comparable analysis, and WACC calculationsAdvanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, dynamic modelling, and multi-sheet linked workbooksStrong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial statement integrationHigh attention to detail with strong model structuring, auditing, and documentation practicesAbility to work independently, manage time effectively, and operate in a remote, fast-paced environmentStrong English communication skills for cross-functional collaborationPreferred QualificationsExperience creating or reviewing financial modelling case studies or technical assessmentsDegree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related quantitative fieldProfessional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or equivalentExperience mentoring or leading junior analystsFamiliarity with programming, automation, or data tools related to financial modellingOriginally posted on Himalayas
