Job Description
The Supply Chain Planner is a key member of the Supply Chain Planning team responsible for day-to-day planning activities for assigned ASP product codes. The role supports S&OP, manages inventory parameters, and partners with external teams to maintain service levels. This is a position with a global scope and the SC planner will be responsible for a set of suppliers mainly in UK, US and Asia.Under limited supervision, general direction and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Supports the S&OP process by aligning demand/supply inputs and collaborating with sales, marketing, and finance.Planning Parameters: Maintains reorder point parameters in Intuiflow within the ASP network; ensures data accuracy and integrity.Key Metrics: Monitors operational KPIs such as customer service, inventory, and backorders; reports performance to stakeholders.Scenario Planning: Performs standard analyses to support decisions; escalates complex issues for higher-level review.New Product Introduction & Lifecycle: Participates in assigned steps of new product launches and portfolio optimization activities.Inventory Management: Tracks and reconciles inventory; identifies opportunities for process improvement.Allocation Policy: Provides input into allocation decisions by analyzing demand, supply, and historical trends.Process Improvements: Recommends process/system improvements and supports implementation under direction.Supplier & External Interaction: Interacts tactically with suppliers regarding purchase orders, deliveries, and supply constraints.Mentorship & Expertise: Learns and develops expertise; may provide informal support to junior colleagues.Escalation Point: Escalates unresolved issues to Sr. SC Manager.Compliance: Ensures compliance with company regulations, policies, and guidelinesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree required.2–5 years supply chain/operations experience.Familiarity with demand, supply, and inventory planning.APICS/CPIM certification a plus.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Excel, SQL or BI tools preferred.Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Originally posted on Himalayas
