Job Description
**Position Summary**
We are seeking a student\-focused and detail\-oriented **Financial Aid Clerk** to join our Financial Aid team. This role serves as a key support partner to the Financial Aid Administrator by assisting prospective and current students through the financial aid process.
The primary responsibility of this position is meeting with prospective students to review FAFSA results and present estimated tuition financing plans. In addition, the Financial Aid Clerk will package assigned student cohorts, maintain accurate records, perform data entry, and ensure student files are processed efficiently.

**Essential Responsibilities**
* Meet with prospective students to review FAFSA results and explain estimated tuition financing options.
* Present clear and accurate financial aid estimates to help students understand their educational investment.
* Package assigned student cohorts in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
* Support the Financial Aid Administrator with student appointments and financial aid counseling.
* Collect, review, and process financial aid documentation.
* Follow up with students regarding missing documents and outstanding requirements.
* Enter and maintain accurate student information in institutional systems.
* Monitor assigned student files to ensure timely completion.
* Communicate professionally with students, families, admissions, and campus staff.
* Maintain confidentiality of student financial records.
* Assist with general office duties and other projects as assigned.
**Qualifications**
**Required**
* High school diploma or GED.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
**Preferred**
* 1\-2 years of administrative, financial aid, admissions, customer service, or higher education experience.
* Experience working with FAFSA or financial aid processes.
* Familiarity with student information systems or electronic document management systems (CampusVue, NSLDS, Common Origination and Disbursement (COD), or similar systems is a plus).
* We operate on Pacific Standard Time (PST), so availability during these hours is required
