Client Operations Manager (Accounting & Finance)

**Job Summary** The Fisch Group is seeking an Accounting \& Client Operations Manager to oversee the operational delivery of our outsourced bookkeeping, controller, payroll, accounts payable, and CFO services. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who enjoys building systems, leading teams, and creating exceptional client experiences. Rather than performing day\-to\-day accounting, you will ensure our internal teams consistently deliver high\-quality work on time while continuously improving our processes and client operations. You will work closely with company leadership to help scale our growing outsourced finance practice through process improvement, operational excellence, and outstanding client service. **Responsibilities** Client Operations * Own the onboarding process for new clients * Ensure recurring monthly deliverables are completed accurately and on time * Monitor client satisfaction and proactively resolve issues * Coordinate communication between clients and internal accounting teams * Prepare agendas and follow\-up items for recurring client meetings Team Leadership * Coordinate workloads across bookkeepers, controllers, payroll specialists, and CFOs * Balance team capacity and resource allocation * Track deadlines and service levels across all engagements * Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members * Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Process Improvement * Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) * Identify opportunities for automation and AI * Improve internal workflows and project management systems * Build dashboards to monitor operational performance * Standardize best practices across all client engagements Accounting Oversight * Understand month\-end close processes and accounting workflows * Review operational metrics related to bookkeeping, payroll, AP, AR, and financial reporting * Escalate technical accounting issues to controllers or CFOs when appropriate * Help ensure accounting work is delivered accurately and on schedule **Qualifications** Required * 5\+ years of accounting, outsourced accounting, CAS, or finance operations experience * Experience managing accounting teams or coordinating multiple client engagements * Strong understanding of month\-end close, AP, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting * Excellent project management and organizational skills * Experience improving operational processes and documenting SOPs * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Preferred * Experience in an outsourced accounting, Client Accounting Services (CAS), fractional CFO, or public accounting environment * Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto, Rippling, or similar platforms * Experience with ClickUp, Airtable, Asana, Monday.com, or other project management software * Experience implementing AI or workflow automation tools Pay: $80,000\.00 \- $120,000\.00 per y
