**Company Overview** Imperial Management Group (IMG) is an award\-winning grant and government contracting firm with more than 20 years of experience in business development, serving clients with six\- and seven\-figure revenues. **Job Summary** Immediate Hire: Imperial Management Group (IMG) is seeking a highly skilled, results\-oriented Lead Proposal \& Grant Writer to join our competitive team on a six\-month, pay\-for\-performance contract. This is a 1099 contract position. This critical role involves serving as an Account Manager and Lead Point of Contact (POC) for our assigned accounts, ensuring we secure high\-value funding from government agencies, foundations, and private funders. The successful candidate will quarterback the entire proposal lifecycle, from strategic research and team coordination to final submission and post\-award reporting. Must have a competitive spirit to join our team. **Key Responsibilities** * **Team Leadership \& Project Management 30%:** Serve as the Lead Point of Contact and lead writer for assigned accounts. Oversee and coordinate all account activities, ensuring project milestones are met and enforcing deadlines across complex, concurrent proposal projects. * **Proposal Development \& Strategy 60%:** Research, draft, and submit compelling and persuasive proposals, funding requests, and letters of inquiry tailored to the specific requirements of government RFPs, NOFOs, foundation guidelines, and private funders. Translate complex technical solutions and project goals into clear, well\-structured narratives. * **Compliance \& Quality Assurance 5%:** Ensure proposal integrity and strict adherence to all solicitation requirements, guidelines, and mandates. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) and finance teams to gather data, develop comprehensive budgets, and compile all necessary supporting documentation (attachments, certifications, MOA). * **Research \& Reporting 5%:** Conduct thorough research to identify and analyze potential grant opportunities. Assist in smooth transition during the post\-award phase. **Compensation \& Contract Details** This is a minimum six\-month contract (with potential for extension based on performance) on a strict pay\-for\-performance basis.
