At Probe, expect to think differently, challenge the norm and find your purpose.Role OverviewThe Salesforce Technical Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, developing, and supporting Salesforce solutions that meet business and client requirements. This role is primarily focused on hands-on technical delivery, working closely with functional consultants, solution architects, project managers, and other developers to build high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce solutions.A Technical Consultant contributes across the delivery lifecycle, including technical design, build, testing, deployment support, and defect resolution. They are expected to apply sound development practices, collaborate effectively with project teams, and contribute to successful delivery outcomes while continuing to grow their technical consulting capability.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Solution DeliveryBuild Salesforce solutions using a combination of declarative and programmatic capabilitiesTranslate functional requirements and solution designs into technical components and build tasksDevelop solutions across areas such as Apex, Lightning Web Components, flows, validation rules, integrations, and security controlsSupport the implementation of scalable and maintainable solutions aligned to project requirements and architectural directionContribute to technical design discussions and raise implementation considerations, risks, and constraintsHands-On DevelopmentDevelop custom Salesforce functionality using platform tools and coding frameworksConfigure standard platform features where appropriate to support business requirementsSupport integration development and external system interactions under the guidance of architects or senior technical team membersWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned to agreed standardsAssist with troubleshooting, debugging, and defect resolution during build and test phasesQuality and TestingPerform unit testing and support system, integration, and user acceptance testing activitiesEnsure technical deliverables are complete, tested, and aligned to requirementsParticipate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality and consistencySupport documentation of technical designs, configuration, and deployment activitiesFollow established development standards, governance processes, and release practicesProject Team CollaborationWork closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify technical implicationsCollaborate with other developers, architects, and delivery team members across project activitiesSupport sprint planning, estimation, and backlog refinement activitiesCommunicate progress, issues, and dependencies clearly to the project teamContribute positively to team delivery, knowledge sharing, and problem solvingCapability DevelopmentContinue building capability across Salesforce platform development, tools, and best practicesSeek feedback and coaching to improve technical and consulting skillsContribute to reusable components, technical assets, and delivery accelerators where appropriateShare learnings and support knowledge exchange within the broader teamBusiness Development SupportSupport estimation and pre-sales activities where requiredContribute technical input to solution discussions, assumptions, and delivery planningAssist with internal demos, assets, or proof-of-concept activities where relevantSkills and ExperienceExperience delivering Salesforce solutions in a development, configuration, or technical consulting roleHands-on experience with Salesforce platform development including Apex, Lightning Web Components, flows, and other declarative featuresUnderstanding of Salesforce data model, security model, automation capabilities, and platform constraintsAbility to interpret requirements and convert them into effective technical solutionsStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within cross-functional delivery teamsFamiliarity with agile delivery methods and project-based delivery environmentsDesirable ExperienceSalesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer I, JavaScript Developer I, or related credentialsExperience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or other Salesforce productsExposure to integrations, APIs, data migration, or DevOps toolingExperience working in consulting, implementation, or client-facing delivery environmentsFamiliarity
