Technical Interview Engineer

**Location:** United States (Remote) **Employment Type:** Part\-Time / Independent Contractor **Schedule:** Flexible, Based on Availability About the Role We are seeking experienced, US\-based Software Engineers to join our team as Technical Interviewers on a flexible, part\-time contract basis. In this role, you will conduct technical interviews with software engineering candidates, assess their technical skills and professional experience, and provide structured evaluation feedback. You may also occasionally participate in client\-facing technical interviews and meetings, discussing engineering experience, technical requirements, development approaches, and potential solutions. This opportunity is ideal for software engineers who enjoy technical discussions, evaluating engineering talent, and working with clients while maintaining flexibility alongside their existing professional commitments. Key Responsibilities * Conduct remote technical interviews with software engineering candidates. * Assess programming skills, problem\-solving abilities, software engineering fundamentals, and practical development experience. * Ask technical questions appropriate to each candidate's experience and specialization. * Evaluate candidates' knowledge of software architecture, coding practices, debugging, and development methodologies. * Provide clear, objective, and structured feedback after interviews. * Participate in occasional client\-facing technical interviews and discussions. * Communicate professionally about technical experience, engineering approaches, and project requirements. * Represent our engineering team professionally during technical conversations. Requirements * **Must currently reside in the United States.** * 5\+ years of professional software engineering experience. * Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C\#, or C\+\+. * Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and software design. * Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to assess technical capabilities objectively. * Comfortable participating in video\-based technical interviews and client meetings. * Strong professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications * Previous experience conducting technical interviews or evaluating software engineering candidates. * Experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager. * Knowledge of backend, frontend, full\-stack development, cloud technologies, or system design. * Experience participating in client\-facing technical discussions. * Experience working with distributed or remote engineering teams.
