Travel may be required.** The Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a strategic leader to join the Information Technology team as a **Technical Systems Manager (Data Science \& Informatics Specialist 3\)!** The goal of this position is to oversee the technical infrastructure that supports the agency’s healthcare technology ecosystem, including system interfaces utilizing HL7 and FHIR standards, identity and access management, data integrations, security controls, and third\-party application connectivity. Working in close partnership with the Health Services Division, Information Technology, and other key support areas, the Technical Systems Manager will provide expert information for the planning, implementation, stabilization, and ongoing management of the Washington State Department of Corrections’ Epic electronic health record (EHR) environment. The candidate of choice will serve as the technical leader for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) project and the Health Care Management and Coordination System (HCMACS) program, applying advanced expertise as an Epic Technical Applications Manager to ensure the secure, reliable, and effective operation of critical healthcare systems. The Technical Systems Manager is tasked with a team of technical analysts and system engineers, providing leadership, guidance, and accountability for the delivery of highly complex technical solutions. We are searching for an individual to serve as the principal liaison between the Department of Corrections, statewide information technology organizations, Epic technical teams, and external vendors to coordinate system integrations and resolve complex issues.
