Bookkeeper (Contract, Remote)

Synergy Solutions is a fractional CFO and business\-management firm based in Belmont, New Hampshire. We keep the books for owner\-operated companies across the US, and we're adding bookkeepers to the team. You'd report to our Head Controller. You own the accuracy and timelines of the day\-to\-day books. You're the first line of defense for clean books, and you close them by the 5th so the controller and CFO can build on them. ***The number that matters:*** *100% of assigned bank and credit card accounts reconciled by the 5th, every month.* **What you'd own** * Entering and categorizing every transaction in QuickBooks Online, coded to the right account and class, with bank feeds and credit card imports kept current * Bank and credit card reconciliations by the 5th, discrepancies resolved within 5 business days, and anything unusual flagged for the Controller * Accounts payable and receivable: vendor bills processed within 48 hours, invoices sent on schedule, and AR aging reviewed weekly * Payroll support in Gusto: timesheet review, data entry, and employee records kept current * Organized digital files in the right folders, following the Synergy SOPs, with issues raised within 24 hours **What we need from you** * Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally across more than one client at a time * QuickBooks Online you know cold, with coding accuracy above 97% and zero duplicate entries * Someone reliable who hits the 5th every month * Enough judgment to raise a question rather than guess **Where this goes** This is the seat where we get to know your judgment, not just your speed. As trust builds, so does your client load, and the controller track is open to bookkeepers who want to keep growing with us. **The arrangement** Expect a 160\-hour monthly minimum, remote.
