The OpportunityWe are seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager to lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers and technicians. In this role, you will:Lead complex, cross-functional project teamsManage a diverse portfolio of challenging projects under our design services and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) programsEnsure project quality, budget compliance, and timely deliveryPlay a key role in client engagement, proposal development, and business growth initiativesKey ResponsibilitiesManage budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple engineering disciplinesCoordinate directly with clients and project managers to handle scope changes and maintain alignmentReview engineering deliverables and oversee discipline integration; may serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projectsBuild strong relationships with project leadership, design teams, and support staffCommunicate client goals effectively to the project team and tailor project execution accordinglyProvide strategic input during business development activities, including proposal and estimate preparationTravel occasionally for site visits, client meetings, and design reviewsApply technical knowledge independently while ensuring consistent compliance with internal quality programsEnsure that all project work adheres to industry standards and client-specific requirementsMentor and support junior team members, fostering technical growth and collaborationPreferred QualificationsProven experience leading EPC or design services projects for overhead transmission lines, preferably for investor-owned utilities in the U.S.Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage overhead transmission line design, with expertise in:PLS-CADDLine routing and structural loadingFoundation designFull project lifecycle managementStrong communication skills with a client-focused approachIn-depth knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and design guidesFamiliarity with cross-functional project components such as procurement, subcontracting, permitting, real estate, and construction supportExperience in proposal development and engineering cost estimationProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license highly preferredMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institutionMinimum of 8 years of related engineering experienceMust be able to complete all required pre-employment screenings, which may include:Criminal and civil background checksDrug testingMotor vehicle record reviews, in accordance with applicable regulationsCertificationsMost roles in this discipline require current professional engineering registration or licensure in the home office country or active pursuit of such credentials.
