Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will help build lasting client relationships and contribute to our firm’s growth. **Responsibilities** * Prepare accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations using tax preparation software. * Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting tax documents to ensure completeness and accuracy. * Stay current with tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure compliance and optimal tax strategies for clients. * Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions related to their filings. * Assist clients with tax planning strategies to maximize deductions and credits while ensuring adherence to legal requirements. * Maintain organized records of all tax documents, correspondence, and client files for audit readiness. * Support client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and provide excellent customer service to foster long\-term relationships. **Skills** * Extensive knowledge of tax law, tax compliance procedures, and tax reporting standards. * Proficiency in tax preparation software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms. * Strong understanding of accounting principles, including corporate accounting, bookkeeping, and financial concepts. * Experience with individual and corporate tax return preparation; partnership tax expertise is a plus. * Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry (including 10 key typing). * Effective client communication skills to explain complex financial information clearly. * Familiarity with financial software tools used in public accounting environments; experience with technical accounting is advantageous. * Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently while providing outstanding customer service.
