You’ll handle advanced accounting tasks, build and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), and serve as a quality reviewer and mentor for junior Accounting Specialists. This role requires strong technical skills, judgment, and the ability to lead client conversations confidently.What you'll doOwn month-end close and financial reporting for complex client accounts using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Uplinq’s proprietary accounting system.Prepare and document advanced journal entries.Handle job costing, inventory tracking, and class/location-based reporting as needed.Manage and troubleshoot third-party integrations.Build and maintain client-specific SOPs, documentation, and QBO workflows.Serve as the main point of contact for clients—leading calls, owning relationships, and resolving escalations.Review junior team members’ work and provide clear, constructive feedback.Qualifications5+ years of small business or firm-based accounting experienceAdvanced Knowledge in QuickBooks OnlineStrong knowledge of full-cycle accrual accounting and GAAP principlesExperience with job costing, inventory, and class/location reportingSkilled in managing third-party integrationsDocumentation and workflow mapping abilitiesConfident communicator who can lead client meetings and explain financials clearlyWhy Join UsCompetitive pay + health, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insuranceRemote-first and flexible work cultureClear path for career growth in a fast-growing firmModern tech stack and automation-first mindsetSupportive, collaborative team with strong systems and documentationOriginally posted on Himalayas
