Job Description
Purpose Primary responsibility for this Business Development Manager Rigid Packaging is the management of our Rigid Packaging strategy, and development of key multilocation and large single site Rigid Packaging customers. Additional responsibility would be in support of strategic activity by the Business Managers related to supplier relations and overall financial governance of the assigned business. In addition the role would be responsible for the development and management of OEM and large multilocation moldersAreas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.• Strategic Responsibilities:Managing pipeline process sellers, customers, and strategic suppliersOrganizing and leading training sessions on new product rollouts or strategic focus areasJoint travel with supplier partners to develop target accounts and improve supplier relationsAssisting the Business Managers in developing an overall business strategy and planDrive growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfactionProviding target market intelligence to the sales team and Business Managers specific to the Rigid Packaging market.• Essential Tasks:Assisting field sales in identifying and closing target opportunities which will generate organic volume growth; this includes travel to participate in customer meetingsWorking with the Business Managers and Technical Service to match products and suppliers with sales opportunitiesCoordinating technical service in support of new businessUpdating CRM tools to ensure pipeline is robust and sustainableUsing target information to build a business plan for sales in each sales territoryResponsible for the development and growth of the portfolioAssist with growing branded business with CPAWork with CPA Business Development Manager’s to increase product exposureFunnel all opportunities to appropriate distribution teamDevelop jointly with marketing team all marketing efforts, tradeshow activities, etc for your defined market.All other duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNot ApplicableCompetencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA) To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility.
