Join our team and make a difference in patient care.About the RoleWe are seeking an engineering manager to grow our engineers and our engineering practice. We believe in practicing managers, who want to contribute to the code as well as grow engineers. This role will be responsible for coaching up to 5 engineers in growing their career and contributing code and coding practice to a team.ResponsibilitiesDevelop in an agile environment, including TDD and flexible pair programmingContribute to balanced teams, working with product and design to shape the applicationConsistently deliver quality code that supports business goalsUnderstanding of data structures, TDD, and software engineering design patterns and principlesCoach up to 5 engineers in career growth and improvementGuide the engineering practice across teams to create more effective methodsHybrid IC/manager position with up to 50% hands-on codingParticipate in an on-call rotation, ensuring timely resolution of critical system issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our system reliability and availabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy AI features that improve user experience and operational efficiencyRequirementsProfessional experience with Ruby on RailsMinimum of 5 years of experience delivering software in a production environmentMinimum of 2 years of management experienceExperience with automated evaluation and testing of LLM powered workflowsExperience with LangSmith or similar tools for observability and evaluationFamiliarity with prompt engineering and prompt lifecycle managementFamiliarity with LangGraph, AutoGen, or other agent orchestration frameworksSkill with AI powered coding tools (eg.
