Part-Time Bookkeeper - CPA Firm

**Overview** We are a local CPA firm seeking a detail\-oriented and organized individual to join our team in a Bookkeeper role. This is a part\-time position that is primarily on\-site but allows some remote work flexibility on an as\-needed basis. As a key team member, you will lead the client\-facing bookkeeping processes. This person will directly handle the bookkeeping and payroll accounts for 20\+ clients with the opportunity for a full\-time position as client base grows. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, ability to be independent and self\-motivated, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals. **Duties** * Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely filing and payment of payroll taxes and processing of payroll for clients * Perform basic bookkeeping functions including journal entries, expense categorization and bank reconciliations * Maintain a process to communicate with clients on document exchange and coordination * Interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner * Assist in setting up and improving operational processes to support firm growth **Experience** * 3\+ years of bookkeeping experience required * Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online required * Accounting Degree preferred * Payroll processing experience preferred * Client communication experience preferred * Quickbooks ProAdvisor Certification preferred **Benefits** * PTO plan * Flexible schedule including occasional remote work * Professional development and continuing education courses * Path to full\-time as our client base grows Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $22\.00 \- $30\.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule * Paid time off * Parental leave * Professional development assistance * Referral program Work Location: Hybrid remote in Marshall, MI 49068
