We function as our clients’ outsourced accounting department, delivering bookkeeping, accounting, controller and fractional CFO advisory services. The Opportunity This is a senior\-level role for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a client\-facing environment and enjoys serving as a trusted advisor, not just a technician. You will manage a portfolio of clients, own key relationships, and serve as the primary accounting contact for small and mid\-sized engagements. For larger or more complex clients, you will partner closely with our Accounting Manager or Controller while maintaining direct client interaction and significant responsibility. Success in this role requires strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate independently. You should be comfortable engaging directly with business owners and executives, identifying issues proactively, and translating financial information into practical business guidance. The ideal candidate is curious about emerging technologies, embraces change, and sees process improvement and automation as a core responsibility. Responsibilities · Independently manage a portfolio of client engagements, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, month\-end close, and financial reporting. · Serve as the primary client contact for assigned engagements and lead recurring financial review meetings with business owners and executives. · Prepare and present monthly financial packages, including variance analysis, financial insights, and actionable recommendations. · Partner with the Accounting Manager or Controller on larger and more complex client engagements. · Manage multi\-entity accounting structures, intercompany reconciliations, property\-level reporting, and tenant billing for real estate clients. · Maintain job cost tracking, work\-in\-progress (WIP) schedules, and billing for construction clients. · Lead client onboarding efforts, assess existing accounting records, and establish a path to accurate and timely financial reporting. · Proactively identify financial risks, cash flow concerns, process inefficiencies, and unusual activity. · Mentor and support staff accountants and bookkeepers through coaching, review, and technical guidance. · Contribute to workflow improvements, process documentation,
