Job Description

Role Overview:The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving business development and project acquisition for generator and power solutions in the Philippines. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing distributor networks, and managing customer relationships across industrial and commercial sectors. This is a highly independent, field-oriented role that combines technical pre-sales and commercial responsibility, requiring the ability to engage customers, understand project requirements, and support the full bidding and proposal process.The ideal candidate is a hunter with strong technical sales experience, capable of operating autonomously, building pipeline from scratch, and translating customer requirements into viable solutions within a project-based environment.Key Responsibilities:1. Business Development & Market ExpansionDrive new business acquisition across the PhilippinesIdentify and develop opportunities in:Data centersCommercial and industrial sectorsBuild and maintain a strong sales pipeline and project funnel2. Distributor / Channel DevelopmentIdentify, appoint, and manage local distributors and partnersBuild long-term channel relationships to expand market reachSupport partners in technical discussions, proposals, and deal closure3. Technical Sales & Pre-Sales SupportEngage directly with customers to:Understand project requirementsGather technical specificationsTranslate customer needs into clear, actionable inputs for internal engineering and proposal teamsSupport bidding, quotations, and solution alignment4. Project & Bid CoordinationManage the pre-sales lifecycle:Inquiry qualification proposal submissionCoordinate closely with regional teams on:Technical validationPricing and commercial structuringEnsure timely and accurate submission of proposals5. Customer & After-Sales CoordinationServe as the POC for customers in the PhilippinesSupport post-sales coordination with regional teams to ensure customer satisfactionWorking SetupRemote / Work-from-homeClose collaboration with regional (Southeast Asia) officeTravel required:Local client visitsRegional travelQualifications:Degree or background in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5+ years experience in sales of industrial equipment or power solutionsStrong preference for candidates with exposure to:Generators / power generation systemsProject-based or solution sales environmentsExperience working with:Distributors / channel partnersContractors, consultants, or EPCsKey Competencies:Strong hunter mindset with proven business development capabilityAbility to operate independently in a remote/regional structureSolid technical-commercial understanding (able to translate customer requirements into solutions)Effective stakeholder management across:CustomersDistributorsInternal regional teamsStrong communication and negotiation skillsOriginally posted on Himalayas
