**Responsibilities**
* Assist in proofreading and copy editing manuscripts, articles, and other written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guides such as AP Style and the Chicago Manual of Style
* Support editing processes by reviewing content for grammatical correctness, consistency, and tone
* Conduct fact\-checking and research to verify information and enhance content quality
* Collaborate with writers and editors on proposal writing, content development, and project planning
* Contribute creative writing pieces or editorial suggestions to improve overall readability and engagement
* Organize and manage documents using word processing tools, ensuring proper formatting and version control
* Participate in editorial meetings to provide insights on content flow, structure, and style improvements
**Experience**
* Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences
* Experience with proofreading, copy editing, or editing in academic, journalistic, or creative contexts
* Knowledge of AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, or similar style guides
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment
* Ability to conduct research efficiently and accurately verify facts
* Familiarity with word processing software such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs
* Background in journalism, creative writing, technical writing or related fields is preferred but not required
