THE POSITIONOur roster has an opening with your name on itWe’re growing our Market Making Engineering team that works on some of the coolest software in the industry - the systems that quote, price, and manage risk in real time for high-volume, high-velocity sports markets. This work spans the full RFQ/quote lifecycle (request → quote → accept → outcome) in low-latency, event-driven services. The team you will join works with quantitative analysts and trading/risk stakeholders to implement and run market making strategies, while proactively identifying opportunities for technical innovation within the Risk and Trading organization. Our stakeholders are the people who establish prices and manage risk for the #1 sports book in America! We’re looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer. As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will lead an empowered, multidisciplinary team, autonomously tackling complex challenges that provide the very best experiences and products for a growing community of millions of players. The ideal candidate will have the confidence to propose pragmatic solutions to complex problems and be eager to learn from and educate others. You will help make technical decisions that will impact the broader organisation. Responsible for the state of the code you both inherit and produceCreative problem-solving ability A passion for learning and always getting betterTHE STATSWhat we’re looking for in our next teammateBA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years of relevant work experience OR 5+ years of relevant work experience with a MS in Computer Science or related technical field.At least one frontend specialisation in any of the following: building native apps (Kotlin, Swift) or web apps using React (JavaScript or TypeScript) or hybrid apps using React NativeExperience building or contributing to an advanced shared library, design system, or SDKUnderstanding of modern architectures, design patterns, and platform nuances Knowledge of web libraries and frameworks, such as Typescript, React, Angular, and/or Bootstrap Familiarity with full stacks, single-page applications and/or micro frontends Expert experience with testing concepts, test tools, and integrating testing and best practices in the SDLC Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
