The individual engaged will not be eligible for employee benefits and will be responsible for all applicable taxes and withholdings. Location: Remote Department: Policy and ResearchContract Type: Independent ContractorTerm: 4 MonthsTotal Compensation: $30,000 (fixed fee)Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA), our nation’s leading voice for child care, works with state and local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies to ensure that families in every community have access to quality, affordable child care. Summary of Position:The Contractor will independently conduct an examination and benchmarking of a subset of state licensing standards (between 8-10 states). In particular, the contractor will compare:1. The requirements for licensing exemption 2. State licensing regulations3. QRIS standards for a set of quality benchmarks.The contractor will do this work using a rubric provided by CCAoA upon contract commencement. Deliverable: A completed rubric for each of the relevant states. *NOTE: All data and information collected, summarized, or leveraged during the contract is the intellectual property of CCAoA.Required Qualifications:Three to five years of research experience. Proven experience in data collection. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.Strength in meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently.Preferred Qualifications:​Previous research experience in the child care /early education field; familiarity with child care regulations.
