Job Description
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, leading procurement activities and supporting strategic purchasing operations for MIL-Spec and aerospace components while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization. This position is a replacement for the departing Alison Parker. This position will report to Industrial Procurement Manager Europe/ European Director of Supplier Management Mil & Aero.Procurement Leadership & StrategyLeading and managing the procurement MIL/Aero team, including guidance, training, and performance evaluationsDeveloping and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and inventory managementOverseeing sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing activities for MIL-Spec and aerospace components and productsSupplier & Compliance ManagementEstablishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and risk assessmentsEnsuring compliance with relevant MIL/Aero standards, industry regulations, and internal company policiesConducting supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality and contractual complianceOperational Excellence & CollaborationCollaborating with internal departments such as Production, Warehouse, Sales, Product, and LogisticsManaging procurement documentation and maintaining accurate records, including purchase orders and invoicesDriving resolution of supply chain disruptions, quality concerns, and vendor performance issuesLeading process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and improve lead timesRequirementsMinimum 7+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in MIL/Aero, electronic components, or a related industryStrong knowledge of MIL-Spec and aerospace procurement standards and regulationsExperience working with ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory managementProven leadership and team management skillsStrong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to analyze market trends and supplier performance dataHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experienceFluency in English; additional European languages are an advantageProficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of ITAR and export compliance regulationsExperience with supplier audits and quality control processesWhat We Offer:Family-like working atmospherePermanent employment with fair salary including bonus schemeOnboarding on new position (transition process)Training and development opportunitiesSecure job in a growing company with over 50 years of market presenceInternational working environment, participation in projects, and development opportunitiesHighlightsJoin our international team and lead procurement for MIL‑Spec and aerospace components while driving strategic purchasing and collaborating across functionsOriginally posted on Himalayas
